Compact 2024-2025
As a parent/caring adult, I will:
-
have high expectations for my child.

show respect and support for my child, his/her teachers, and the school.

monitor assignments, encourage homework completion, and talk/read with my child daily.

send my child to school regularly, on time, well-fed, well rested, and with appropriate materials.

notify the teacher of changes affecting attendance, achievement, attitude or behavior.
-
support the school in its efforts to maintain proper discipline.
-
remember there are two sides to every issue.

assist my child in learning to resolve conflicts in positive ways.

attend school functions (Title 1 parent meetings, Family Reading Nights, PTA, Open House, etc.).

read and discuss my child’s progress reports with my child and the teacher.
As a student, I will:
- attend school regularly, on time, prepared and with all necessary materials.
- behave well and abide by all school rules and resolve conflicts in positive ways.
- set aside a time for homework and return completed assignments on time.
- respect myself, my school, and others.
- listen and participate in class.
- get to bed at a reasonable hour and get plenty of sleep each night
As a teacher, I will:
- tell you and your child what we are studying and what I will expect from your child.
- keep you informed about your child’s achievement and behavior.
- assist your child in learning to resolve conflicts in positive ways.
- teach your child the virtues of honesty, kindness, and empathy.
- teach your child at a level that is appropriate for his/her ability and achievement.
- treat your child with dignity and respect.
- respect you as a parent and cooperate with you, as we work in the best interest of your child.
A Message from the Principal:
I support positive parent involvement! Therefore, I will strive to provide:
- an environment that allows for positive communication among parents, students, and teachers.
- opportunities for parents to be involved in the school and their child’s education.
